About HotMic.
HotMic is a live conversation platform made for people who love having something to talk about — and people to talk about it with. From major moments happening in real time to the everyday obsessions, fandoms, and group chat debates that make the internet feel fun.
We built HotMic because somewhere along the way, the internet stopped feeling very social. Everything became feeds, comments, and content optimized for scrolling instead of actual connection.
We believe the best part of any moment has always been the conversation around it.
That’s what HotMic is all about.
A place where people show up live around the things they care about most — from sports, entertainment, and internet culture to wellness, parenting, business, gaming, travel, and the niche interests that make people feel like they’ve found their people. The stuff people already love talking about every day — just in a way that feels more social, more participatory, and more human.
Less scrolling by yourself.
More being part of it together.
Real people. Real reactions. Real connection.
The internet already has enough performance art.
We care more about chemistry than perfection. More about personality than production value. More about people actually connecting than pretending they’re not looking at the comments.
You don’t need a studio setup or a media-trained “personal brand.” You just need something to say — or at least strong feelings about overtime rules, celebrity breakups, or whether that season finale ruined the entire show.
Being a fan is supposed to feel fun. Passionate. Dramatic. Occasionally concerning to the people around you.
But a lot of the internet stopped feeling that way.
Somewhere along the way, social platforms became mostly feeds. You scroll. You like. You leave.
We want to bring back the feeling of hanging out.
Because the best part was never just the moment itself. It’s who you experienced it with.
And yes, we want all of them here. We’re trying to launch a conversation platform, not start a beef.
We just also believe the funniest person in the room might be someone joining from their couch, eating leftover chicken parm. The sharpest take might come from somebody with twelve followers who hasn’t realized yet they’d actually be great at this.
That’s the fun of it.
A place for red-hot takes, big fandom energy, and people who still think being social online should feel… social.
Whatever you’re into, there’s a conversation happening. And we’re just getting started.
