This Privacy Policy explains how HotMic, Inc. collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information when users access the HotMic mobile applications, websites, SDK-powered experiences, Creator Studio, APIs, and related services.
Information We Collect
We collect account information (name, username, email, phone number), profile information, creator information, payment-related information processed by third parties, customer support communications, user-generated content (video, audio, chat, comments, questions, reactions, votes), technical information (device identifiers, IP address, browser, operating system, app version, analytics, crash logs), and approximate location derived from IP. Precise location is collected only with permission where supported.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide and improve the Service, authenticate users, match participants, recommend communities, deliver live and recorded video, process creator payouts, improve AI-powered features, moderate content, prevent fraud, provide customer support, analyze platform performance, send notifications, and comply with legal obligations.
AI Features
HotMic uses artificial intelligence to generate questions, recommend content, assist moderation, create clips, improve discovery, and enhance creator workflows. User content may be processed to provide these features and improve the Service consistent with this Privacy Policy.
Information Shared with Community Owners
HotMic enables creators, brands, organizations, and publishers to operate their own communities. When you join a community, certain information may be shared with that community's owner or authorized administrators, including your profile information, participation history, public content, moderation history, and, where you have consented, your email address. Community owners are responsible for their own use of information they receive through the platform.
Creator Content
Videos, recordings, livestreams, clips, comments, and other public content may be displayed within HotMic and distributed through authorized publishing workflows and integrations.
Information Sharing
Information may be shared with service providers, payment processors, authentication providers, analytics providers, AI service providers, legal authorities when required by law, and in connection with mergers, acquisitions, or other corporate transactions.
International Users
HotMic is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information and exercise other rights under applicable privacy laws.
